Our most valuable asset is our talent. We treat all members of the Brightcove community with respect, and we celebrate a diversity of backgrounds, ideas, and perspectives. With employees in 13 countries, we are one team, coming together as a global community.
We support our employees and are committed to respecting their rights at work. To that end, we require each employee to sign the Brightcove Code of Business Conduct and Ethics annually, reaffirming a commitment to create a respectful workplace culture that is free of harassment, intimidation, bias, and unlawful discrimination.
We strictly prohibit discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, color, religion, veteran status, national origin, ancestry, pregnancy status, sex, gender identity or expression, age, marital status, mental or physical disability, medical condition, sexual orientation, as well as any other attribute protected by law. We encourage employees to ask questions, seek guidance, and report suspected violations of the Brightcove Code of Business Conduct and Ethics. We offer avenues for anonymous reporting, protect employees from any retaliation for good faith reports, and promptly investigate any reports of violations.
Our Suppliers and Partners
We value suppliers who have made commitments to human rights principles and demonstrate strong labor practices. Our major suppliers have well-established policies and programs in this area.
As part of the vetting and onboarding of prospective new suppliers, our procurement teams ask a series of standardised questions about prospective suppliers' policies and procedures around human rights, labor standards, modern slavery and sustainability.
Where prospective suppliers do not have such policies and procedures, we ask them to explain why not and to provide Brightcove with details of their plans to adopt such policies. This is to ensure we are working with suppliers who safeguard and promote human rights and fair employment practices in our supply chain and who share our commitment to lessening the environmental impact we have on the communities in which we operate and the planet as a whole.
As a software company, Brightcove is a steward of personal data belonging to our employees; the employees of our suppliers, partners, and customers; and the users of our technology. Trust is important to us, and we take our responsibility to protect personal data seriously. We comply with applicable global data protection and privacy laws, and we are transparent about what data we collect and how we use it.
