In fact, the best lighting is sunlight.

The key is to take the photo near a window. You should either face the window or have the window to your left or right.

However, if you have your back to the window, be careful as your face will be dark due to backlighting.

## 2. Ring light

Ring lights are popular these days. They are sometimes called “actress lights”, and influencers seem to use them a lot.

Ring lights illuminate the whole face evenly and beautifully, so they are characterized by the fact that they don’t create shadows.

You can attach them to a stand and simply place the camera in the center of the ring to take beautiful photos.

Thanks to the spread of remote work, they should be relatively inexpensive to obtain.

## 3. Panel light

Unlike ring lights, panel lights can be set up in a variety of places.

They are effective when you want to illuminate not only the subject but also the background.

They are also inexpensive.

## 4) Materials that soften light

There are two types of light: soft light and hard light.

Soft light creates an attractive, pleasant impression, while hard light creates a striking, strong impression. Think of the light in your living room or bedroom. That is soft light.

Soft lighting is preferred.

Try reducing the intensity of the light using translucent white plastic or something similar.

You can use a ‘softbox’ lighting device or shower curtain fabric. It might also be worth trying a plastic umbrella.

There are many different lighting equipment on sale, so you may be unsure about which one to choose, but you can achieve attractive lighting without having to prepare any special equipment. Why not start by trying something simple?
