We are thrilled to post the agenda and session details for PLAY 2016. If you are pondering attending or have already received your invitation, check out the agenda to get a sense of the two days that we’ve assembled. We have a great series of business discussions, hands-on demonstrations, and best practice presentations. It is a packed agenda worthy of the industry’s top gathering of Media companies, Marketers, and Enterprises — and you all have one thing in common — harnessing video for better business results!

So whether you are a Media Professional, a Digital Marketer, an Enterprise Communicator, or a Developer, our goal is to connect you with peers, provide new insight on the online video space, and make sure you return to your work energized and full of new ideas.

A Media Professional’s PLAY experience:

Monday morning

  • Arrive at 8 AM and get started with a great breakfast. Meet and greet your peers, and then take in the Morning Blockbuster aka the Morning Keynote. You will hear from David Mendels, CEO, on our vision of the online video space and see demos of exciting new products. Afterwards, grab another cup of coffee, and then head to the sponsor alley, where you can explore what our technology partners have to offer.
  • End the morning with a media-related talk by Anil Jain, SVP & GM, Media, that addresses issues and solutions related to your day-to-day. Right after, attend the first session of the day, “Balancing Great Viewing Experiences and Ad Revenue.”

Lunch — Hang out with your peers, grab some lunch, and catch up.

Monday afternoon

  • You won’t want to miss the first afternoon session, entitled Launching a Successful OTT Service.” Get up, stretch your legs and then take in “How Media Companies and Brands Are Succeeding on Apple TV®.” Next, attend one of our Customer spin off sessions, where you can meet your peers and discuss current issues and solutions via roundtable discussions. Take a snack break and recharge your batteries (pun intended) in our lounge.
  • Finally, take in the Afternoon Blockbuster, which we won’t disclose as of yet.

Monday evening — You’re not too tired, right? Come and join us for the Evening Party, where many surprises are in store. It’s guaranteed to keep you on your feet.

A Digital Marketer’s PLAY experience:

Monday morning

  • Arrive at 8 AM and get started with a great breakfast. Meet and greet your peers, and then take in the Morning Blockbuster aka the Morning Keynote. Afterwards, grab another cup of coffee, and head to the sponsor alley, where you can explore what our technology partners have to offer to further your video marketing strategies.
  • End the morning with a digital marketing focused talk by Caren Cioffi, SVP & GM, Digital Marketing, that addresses video marketing issues, solutions, and opportunities. Right after, attend the first session of the day, Stories From the Frontline: Video in Marketing Campaigns.”

Lunch — Hang out with your peers, grab some lunch, and catch up.

Monday afternoon

  • You won’t want to miss the first afternoon session, entitled Engagement Matters: Powering B2C Marketing With Video.” Get up, stretch your legs, and then take in “Keep ’em Coming Back: Video for Customer Loyalty and Retention.” Next, attend one of our Customer spin off sessions aka Birds of a Feather sessions, where you can discuss current video marketing topics with peers and topic experts. Take a snack break and recharge your batteries (pun intended) in our lounge.
  • Finally, take in our much anticipated and still a secret Afternoon Blockbuster.

Monday evening — You’re not too tired, right? Come and join us for the Evening Party, where many surprises are in store.

Tuesday

  • Add to Monday’s video marketing strategy sessions by attending the video production and storytelling track sessions. You’ll get actionable advice as well as demos from experienced practitioners in such areas as creating video strategies, creative storytelling, scaling production and output, and adding multiple types of interactivity to your videos.

A Developer’s PLAY experience:


Monday

  • Join us for two engaging Blockbusters aka Keynotes, that will bring vision and ideas to what we see developing in the online video space. Attend individual sessions on both the Media and Digital Marketing fronts and see how online video moves business. Then talk to our sponsors and see demos of what’s new in the Brightcove Technology Partner space. Get a snack and hang out in our lounge, where you can meet your peers and mingle.
  • Visit the Brightcove UI booth and participate in surveys where you can win prizes. Meet up with Brightcove staff and get the latest demos on our new product enhancements and features. Last but not least, join us for the Evening reception.

Tuesday morning

  • Tuesday is all about you. We are offering twelve different hands-on development sessions. Start the day off with a hearty breakfast and then jump into “How to Develop Mobile Applications with the Brightcove Platform.” Next, attend “Player Interactivity: How to Make Your Player Pop” and close out your morning with “Brightcove's Guide to Live Streaming.” Eat lunch and enjoy some chatter.

Tuesday afternoon

  • Big breath! There will a two-hour session on the Brightcove Player that you won’t want to miss. Close out the afternoon by attending some specialized sessions on OTT solutions, marketing automation platform (MAP) integration and Brightcove Once. Don’t forget to say Hello to many of the Brightcove Developers and Product Managers who will be attending all of Tuesday’s sessions.
