Brightcove PLAY World Tour 2014: Heading Down Under

This week marks the final "stop" on our annual customer conference global journey as Brightcove PLAY World Tour 2014 touches down in Sydney, Australia on Tuesday, 3rd June and we couldn't be more excited!

Brightcove PLAY kicked off in New York City last month, and we had a blast connecting with many of our customers, and hearing some valuable industry insights and best practices during each of the action-packed sessions. After hitting The Big Apple, we took a trip across the pond to London, and we just wrapped up our third "stop" in Tokyo last week.

Now, we're thrilled to be hosting Asia Pacific's only dedicated online video event of the year in the land of Down Under! Set in Australia's famous Harbour City, this one-day conference is set to cover a lot of digital media and digital marketing ground, with a big bang keynote session as well as thought provoking panel sessions. All in an effort to deliver a unique and engaging event, led by the who's who in the media and digital marketing, which is what Brightcove PLAY is all about.

We will open the Sydney program on Tuesday, June 3 with an opening keynote at 9 a.m. GMT+10, by Brightcove CEO David Mendels, as he takes centre stage to reveal key industry trends, paint Brightcove's vision for the year ahead and showcase product innovations around the latest in video marketing and media technologies. We will be streaming live coverage of this exciting address and we hope you can tune in!

We've organized the event into three different tracks -- Media, Digital Marketing and Developer -- to ensure attendees gain access to advice, insight and discussions that best suits their business and their industry.

Kicking off the Media Track is David Habben from Akamai, who will moderate a discussion on user experience alongside panelists from Freeview, Yahoo!7 and Mi9. Followed by topics on monetisation of video content with advertising, the role of social media platforms and the future of online video content consumption.

Meanwhile in the Digital Marketing Track, Brightcove's VP of Marketing, Steve Rotter, will demystify the power of video content and lead a panel discussion on how brands can build effective video strategies. We will also showcase a great customer case study on how video has transformed e-commerce with Michael Hill Jeweller, who have effectively incorporated shoppable video to help drive sales and conversion. And end off with a presentation from Oracle, on how marketers can use modern marketing techniques such as Brightcove’s Cloud Component for Eloqua to help capture the digital body language of your prospects and customers that will drive marketing ROI and sales engagement.

In our Developer Track, our Principal Technical Consultant, Mark Stanton will start with a guided tour of Brightcove's APIs, followed by presentations from our technical product experts on the Next Gen Player, Encoding and mobile video developments around using Brightcove iOS and Android SDKs.
