According to eMarketer, $118.4 billion will be spent on content marketing, video marketing and social media in 2013. That is a staggering number, but it’s no surprise when you consider how quickly content, and the ability to distribute that content to audiences via social channels, has grown in significance for marketers of all types.
Content marketing helps brands to drive more demand, increase conversion rates and generate a higher return on their marketing investments. By establishing direct-to-consumer relationships through engaging content, marketers are able to convert more browsers into buyers. In fact, according to HubSpot, organic search leads have a 14.6% close rate while outbound marketing leads have a 1.7% close rate.
While this is all great news for marketers, there is still the underlying reality that multi-channel content marketing is hard. Audiences are spread across a vast sea of different devices, social networks and connected TVs. Even if you are delivering the right message that will resonate with your prospective buyers, you have to wrestle with a highly fragmented audience that is only getting worse.
For this month’s Bright Ideas video, we put together an animated infographic that helps to put the state of content marketing in perspective and offers solutions for marketers to help remove some of this fast-growing complexity. The video captures the opportunity surrounding content marketing, the challenges in achieving success, and the different solutions available to help marketers break through the noise.
