As we announced earlier this month, Brightcove recently enhanced our TV Everywhere authentication offerings. And at the NAB Show, we highlighted our related, new integration with Akamai Sola Vision Identity Services. While we were all in Las Vegas, we sat down with Adam Greenbaum, Akamai's senior product manager for TV Everywhere/Identity to discuss not only the heightened interest in TV Everywhere, but also how Brightcove and Akamai's joint customers benefit from our integrated TV Everywhere authentication solution.
Highlights from our conversation with Adam include:
- Beyond authentication, media companies have showcased their tremendous interest in TV Everywhere (TVE) as an overarching business strategy.
- And now, digital media decision makers have very definitive TVE plans--i.e., they are concerned with video delivery, security, analytics, advertising, content management systems and authentication.
- Authentication is critically important to both content creators and pay TV operators; it allows them to extend the deals they have already done and ensures that they are deriving revenue from all video content distribution efforts.
- Through Brightcove Video Cloud's integration with Identity Services, our joint customers can rapidly deploy authentication without having to manage multiple technology contracts and vendor representatives.
