Brightcove Helps Tribeca Film Festival Share Video Content with Global Audience

We're excited to announce that the Tribeca Film Festival, presented by American Express, has chosen the Brightcove Video Cloud online video platform to support a range of exciting video initiatives for the 2013 Festival, which is currently underway in New York City. This is the third year in a row that the Festival has relied upon Video Cloud to allow Festival followers to view select, original short-form content online whenever and wherever they choose.

With Video Cloud, the Tribeca Film Festival can offer high-quality, HTML5 and Flash-based video to film enthusiasts eager to access select Festival content on their desktops or via iOS and Android mobile devices. As part of its robust online video strategy, the Festival is also presenting an "Online Festival" in tandem with live events taking place in Tribeca. As a result, anybody can visit the Festival's Web and mobile properties to access clips from a selection of this year's films, interviews with artists and filmmakers, daily video highlights, panels, presentations and filmmaker biographies.

Additionally, this year the Tribeca Film Festival includes an expanded Online Festival to showcase content separate from official Festival films; the Festival is now also highlighting special content from a variety of sources--all in an effort to transform the Online Festival into a portal for storytellers. Because the Online Festival is such a popular destination given its breadth of video assets, the Festival is capitalizing on this fact to promote additional creative endeavors that push the boundaries of new storytelling.

We're excited to again be apart of the Festival and its mission to promote and encourage independent film.
