During the Content Marketing World event--which took place this past September in Columbus, Ohio--our vice president of digital marketing solutions Steve Rotter moderated an engaging roundtable discussion exploring findings from the 2013 Content Marketing Benchmarks, Budgets and Trends research report, which Brightcove sponsored. The entire roundtable session was filmed and the Content Marketing Institute (CMI) has begun to share components of the discussion on its website through a series of videos. You can review the first installment here; it is also embedded below.
On camera, Steve and a panel of fellow content marketing experts examine the rapid rise in content marketing tactics (i.e. on average, content marketers will utilize 12 tactics in 2013--compared to an average of 8 tactics in the past two years). Because we are relying upon more tactics, does that mean we are being better marketers? Is the increase in tactics “moving the needle” in a measurable way? Tune in below for the panel’s take, and please share your own views in the comments section.
Watch this space; we will continue to share the videos in this series as CMI distributes them.
