Vote for Brightcove for the 2012 Crunchies!

Vote for Brightcove for the 2012 Crunchies!

Each year, TechCrunch, GigaOM and VentureBeat join forces to recognize the tech community’s favorite people, products and companies through the Crunchies Awards program. We hope you will vote and help us win a Crunchie for our hard work in 2012!

From now until December 6th, you can vote for Brightcove once per day, per IP address, in the following categories:

Best Technology Achievement (vote at http://is.gd/BFDp6M)
In our humble opinion, Brightcove App Cloud is a game-changer for hybrid app development. In its latest release, App Cloud combines Web-friendly development with easy-to-use plugins, offering a complete solution that allows our customers to develop, customize, operate, market, iterate and extend the lifetime of their apps. We’ve made it possible for users to leverage the Web development knowledge they already have to create some pretty awesome mobile apps for both the iOS and Android platforms. There’s more great background on App Cloud in our recent press release, which you can read here.

CEO of the Year (vote at http://is.gd/4Cxk0V)
We believe Jeremy Allaire is uber-worthy of the CEO of the Year title. Not only did Jeremy bring Brightcove through a successful IPO at the beginning of 2012, he has also shepherded the company through a period of tremendous growth this year where we added many new employees to our team and signed a bevy of premier customers. In addition, Jeremy has offered some compelling thought leadership tied to the future of TV and the importance of dual screen, as well as the power of the app development labor force. Jeremy also recently made an impassioned plea for the end of the “platform wars,” promoting an emphasis on hybrid app development. Seriously, we would nominate Jeremy for CEO of the Year even if he wasn’t our boss!

We are excited to pursue the Crunchies this year, and would love to have your support.
