Ahnlabs Inc relies on Brightcove Video Cloud to power its online video

New online video player improves search engine optimization across its corporate site and enables a consistent viewing experience across multiple handheld devices.

Ahnlabs Inc, Korea’s largest security solution provider, has selected the Brightcove Video Cloud online video platform to support the publishing and delivery of their online video for desktop and mobile devices. Headquartered in Korea, Ahnlabs Inc has a global footprint of sales and research operations in more than 20 countries worldwide. Launched in 1988, Ahnlabs is the most established security solution provider in Korea.

With their growing video assets, Ahnlabs wanted to house all their videos under an Ahnlabs TV brand instead of disparate locations. Having a branded TV destination provides an easy way to add more videos, while driving more onsite traffic and having longer onsite engagement. One other key consideration was the need to ensure a consistent brand viewing experience across multiple devices.

With Brightcove Video Cloud, Ahnlabs is able to deliver beautiful and consistent playback experience across desktop and mobile devices, especially the iPad. Brightcove Video Cloud will also enable Ahnlabs Inc to boost its search results visibility, as the entire video section is now readable by Google. According to Forrester Research, websites with online video are 53 times more likely to show up in the top search results as search engines index its embedded metadata.

Motivated by the business objective of gaining global market share, Ahnlabs is investing in online videos as a key means to communicate with global prospects, customers and partners. Ahnlabs recognizes that video is the fastest growing content type shared across the Web today. According to a report published by Cisco, 90 percent of consumer Web traffic will consist of all forms of video (TV, video on demand, Internet and P2P) by 2015*. A report by Informa estimates by 2015, Asia Pacific will account for 42% of the world’s internet traffic^.
