Video Ad

Video ads are linear, instream ad units that can be inserted at the beginning, middle, or end of a video--often referred to as pre-roll, mid-roll, and post-roll. With the Brightcove Internet TV platform, publishers can easily control ad targeting and frequency to deliver the best and most relevant video ads.

Video Ad Pod

Brightcove's video ad pod synchronizes a video ad with one or more adjacent companion ads for a more engaging advertising experience. Brightcove offers many different player templates, allowing for tremendous flexibility in combining interactive companion ads of varying sizes.

Overlay Ad

An overlay ad is a rich media ad that is displayed over the lower third of the video window. Overlay ads in Brightcove can be served at any point in the video based on cue points set by the publisher. The overlay ad can click through to an external browser or open a fully interactive Takeover Ad (see below). Brightcove also supports Google's AdSense for video format, allowing publishers to monetize
their video from their AdSense account.

Takeover Ad

A takeover ad is a rich media ad unit that covers the entire surface of the player. Advertisers can deliver any Flash-based rich media content in a takeover ad including video, interactive games, and animations. Takeovers can be triggered at player load, from other ad events (e.g. title change or cue point), and by clicks from banners or overlay ads.

Sponsor Skins

A sponsor skin is a player background used to skin a player for an advertiser. Unlike other ad units, Sponsor Skins are set up at the beginning of a campaign, they do not load dynamically, but they are easy to configure and track offering publishers a powerful way to build advertising packages.

Banner Ad

Most of the standard Brightcove players have designated spaces that support banner units which can be either JPEGs or Flash-based banners that are standard IAB sizes. Banners can display on player load, or on other ad events in a player including title changes and cue points.
