Brightcove and Azuki Systems have partnered to enable media companies to easily move their online video content to mobile devices and deliver and monetize highly personalized and interactive user experiences. Through this partnership, media companies are able achieve efficiencies and scale as they expand their mobile presence through reuse of their online video distribution platform and an automated process of extending popular desktop content to the vast array of different mobile handsets.
The web driven Azuki MashMedia Platform automatically ingests a media company's videos with associated metadata by leveraging an existing connector into the Brightcove platform. Video content is further processed to create snackable forms of the media to ease mobile navigation and consumption. Content metadata from the Brightcove platform is used to personalize the delivery of media according to consumer tastes and their mobile context. Mobile ad targeting is improved by utilizing this content metadata and other user information to ensure relevancy of delivered advertising.
Beyond its online form, Azuki then optimizes the media format and stream delivery based upon the mobile device and network capabilities. Lastly, a set of socialization capabilities are enabled (such as commenting, rating and sharing) to promote interactivity around the media on mobile. Azuki creates and maintains 2-way information flows between an online site and its companion mobile service. This helps build audiences, since consumers can access the same content and socialize on any computer or device.
