Futek initially tried to host the video itself, but that consumed enormous amounts of internal resources with sometimes unsatisfying results. “We were spending too much time trying to make sure that our video could be watched and shared by anyone anywhere in the world,” Mokhberi said.

Futek considered other alternatives, including YouTube, but in seeking higher quality and more control, the company quickly turned to Brightcove.

Futek’s transition from its homegrown solution to the Brightcove online video platform was made simple through Brightcove’s batch upload capability, which allowed Futek’s video library to be transferred easily.

The ease of use of the Brightcove platform has inspired Futek to produce more video, which it can get on its site faster than ever. Brigthcove’s platform allows for easy sharing and thus wider distribution, and its analytics provide Futek with audience insight that it previously lacked.

“Having a reliable service partner you can trust makes it easier for us to spend more time doing things we want on the marketing side,” Mokhberi said. “Brightcove eliminates the post-production headache, so we can spend a whole day shooting a video knowing that it will look great on our website.”

Mokhberi also appreciates the customization features of Brightcove’s platform. For one thing, it means the Futek brand is front and center on its video assets.

“We looked around a lot and saw a lot of companies claiming to be the latest and greatest video platform, but we think Brightcove is ahead of the game,” Mokhberi said.
